Aims and Objectives
Moving On aims to provide advice, general help
and moral support, financial assistance and assistance
for training and education.
Our Mission
To help provide young people with the life skills
to enable them to live independently within their
local communities.
Moving On Care Management Ltd. was set up in October 1999
due to a demand for the provision of accommodation and support for 16-18 year
olds under the care of social services.
Care leavers are over-represented among the homeless population, a study
of young people leaving care found that just over 20% will become homeless at some
stage (Biehal et al. 1995).
Moving On can assist local authorities with meeting their obligations as set out
in the Children (Leaving Care Act), 2001.
Moving On will liaise with local authorities in order to
implement the young person’s pathway plan.
Moving On are committed to the every child matters principles.
Moving On comply with CSCI regulations.
Moving On has a proven track record with challenging young people.
